Out of Place

Photographer Wan Ye returns from France to her hometown after many years away. Her former lover, A Sheng, and her best friend, A Bei, have since built a happy family together. Wan Ye’s return subtly shifts the balance of their lives and emotions, creating a growing sense of complexity between the three.
At the same time, Wan Ye meets Xiao Hu, a young woman from a small town who dreams of going to France. On a small island called "Dolphin Islet", the two embark on a new journey together.
